Smarty Had a Party – Review & Giveaway
Smarty Had a Party sent me a set of their disposable (or reusable if you prefer) dinner plates and silverware to review and give away to one lucky Gimmie fan. I used to buy paper (or plastic) plates all the time because cleanup was so much easier with two teenage boys. But, in trying to be more green, I gave up disposable plates and decided to tough it out with the real ones. But these are not ordinary disposable dishes.
So, you wouldn’t think that one could get excited over plastic dishes. Am I crazy? Okay, but that’s besides the point. I couldn’t believe how much they look like real fine China! I set them out and told my hubby to look. He asked where I got the new set of China. I told him to pick them up, and he almost dropped them (which wouldn’t have mattered, really… they weren’t going to break! ha!) He couldn’t believe they were made of plastic. If you look at them up close, you can see they’re not China. But, sitting on a table, they do look like the real thing. They look very classy.
I loved that it’s very sturdy and won’t cave under the weight of my fabulous dinner. (Who wants to wear dinner anyway?) The silverware is also an incredibly convincing fraud! And they’re actually very functional. Not like some of the cheap plasticware that is useless. This stuff works very well. That’s why it could be reusable if you wanted.
I love the name of this company. “Smarty Had a Party” is clever in so many ways. Not only are you smart for not “breaking” out your fine China (literally), you don’t have to spend a lot of time cleaning up if you choose. They offer free ground shipping on all orders over $275.00. Easy. Smart. And, they even sent Smarties (candy) which my little girl thought was very smart! 
This beautiful table setting has the elegant look of fine china without the cost or mess of clean up. All of the items in this setting are totally disposable!
I received a party pack for 12 setting party pack with two sizes of dinner plates, as well as silverware (forks, knives and spoons) in packs of 40 each. The party pack for 12 people, contains:
