I’m absolutely thrilled to review the Lily Pad Fairy Princess bounce house from Play House Bouncers.  I was contacted by Brandon, owner of Play House Bouncers.  It’s a small, family-owned and operated business in South Dakota.  I love that their kids are involved in designing the bouncers, so their ideas are coming straight from the source.  And you can tell they’re built for fun. They have everything from water slides, bounce houses, indoor bouncers and combo units, starting at $179. They even sell commercial bounce houses!  They’re very high quality too.  They’re at least comparable to the ones sold in stores, but I’d say they’re more sturdy.  The stitching is very well done, and although it’s a house filled with air it feels very sturdy.  Included is a constant Air Blower with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for safety (a $139 value). And rest assured, there’s a warranty included - 90 days for Bouncer, and 1 year for blower.

What Gimmie review would be complete without a little reflection?  Earlier this year, a  neighbor down the street rented a bounce house for a birthday party.  As my friend says, “a bouncer belongs to the neighborhood kids.” Who would have thought when my sweet little girl asked to join them they’d say “NO!”?  She was so heart broken, and I was pretty surprised.  I almost cried right along with her.  We live in a nice enough neighborhood. Not ritzy, just friendly and well kept. Other neighbors have rented bouncers in the past and they’re always open to all the neighborhood kids, but these folks are new (and apparently not terribly friendly).

I came home and vowed to have a bouncer for every event in this little girl’s life.  Okay, maybe my Mom-talition was overboard, but I really didn’t expect that rejection.  I even contacted a friend who knew of a great place to buy them inexpensively.  And so, when Play House Bouncers contacted ME, I was floored!!  Would I like a bounce house to review AND one to give away to my fans?  I can’t even type YES loud enough here!!!!

They suggested, since we have a little girl, we could get the Lily Pad Fairy Princess bouncer.  My daughter saw the picture over my shoulder and went berserk!  Thankfully they ship quickly and it was here before we knew it. It arrived in a box that just didn’t seem like it could hold all that was included.  There’s the bounce house, a blower, a carrying case, ground stakes and a repair kit.  My friends with kids are thrilled about the carrying case, and we have an open invitation to come by whenever we’d like.

My chief product tester officially LOVES it and thinks it’s the best thing ever. Mommy would have to agree it’s right up there, and it’s priced right for something of this caliber. Not only are they cheaper than their competition, they’re higher quality than most of the name brands.  My daughter’s daycare lady bought a small bouncer at Toys R Us last summer for $300.  That really puts into perspective what a great deal this one is for only $69 more. This bouncer is a great size: 10′ wide x 12′ deep x 6.5′ high – not too big that it doesn’t fit in our small yard, but big enough to fit several bounce-happy kids at the same time!  You could even set it up in your basement during winter time!  Imagine what an amazing conversion that would be for any playroom!!

And, through the end of November they’re offering FREE SHIPPING!!  To rent one around here costs around $100-200 per rental.  You could own one for less than renting twice!!   I love that we can use it anytime we want.  It doesn’t matter if your party is rained out, just put up the bouncer tomorrow!  I was surprised at how quickly it inflates (less than 1 minute) and how easy it is to set up, take down and store.  One person can do it, except my daughter always wants to help.  This isn’t something you need to plan a weekend around either:  we’ve put it up with only an hour left before sundown and had plenty of playtime between setup and put-away. So, it’s great for weekdays and weekends.

We’re outside right now enjoying the bouncer.  My daughter is thrilled to have such a fun toy, and is so excited to have the neighbor kids join her to play. And it’s GREAT exercise! She said the sweetest thing too, she said she loved that she could play in it with Mommy and Daddy. (Forget trying to explain to her the weight limit of 100 lbs per person/500 lbs total). No worries, she has invented all kinds of games we can play without Mommy and Daddy actually being IN the bouncer with her.
