We were given the opportunity to give the 2012 Kia Sorento a spin. We picked up the Sorento today and were given a brief overview by our Tour Guide, Matt.
My stepson bought a new Kia in 2005. He loves it. But, I have to admit, I always thought of them as sort of a discount car that met basic needs for a cheap price. But, wow. Just… wow. I am amazed at how solid this car feels. Shut the doors and you’re shutting out the outside world. No rattling, wind or road noise — just quiet luxury. The exterior of the Sorento is sporty and sleek, unlike many SUVs and crossovers that are bulky or blocky. The interior is roomy and very comfortable. From the heated seats – which I regretfully have fallen in love with and don’t plan to return when I bring this baby back (sorry Kia) – to the dash panel. It’s beautiful and functional.
Our first love with this beautiful vehicle is the amazing UVO In-Dash System powered by Microsoft. Mr. Gimmie synched up his iPhone (Twitter post | TwitPic photo) via Bluetooth with the touchscreen panel and we were immediately able to use the Kia’s 10-speaker surround sound system as a speaker phone. In addition, our iPod playlists were displayed and available to play in vibrant surround sound. Among other things, there’s also a navigation system (GPS), Sirius Satellite Radio access, and a color RearView Camera that makes backing up a snap.

I own a Kia Sorento and I totally love it. We bought it in 2008 and have now problems ever with it. It is the best car we have ever had.
