DedeMed sent me a bottle of their versatile Seven Spice Mediterranean seasoning to review and tell you about.  And, they want to give one lucky Gimmie fan a bottle of their own!  It’s a $10.95 value!

When I received my 3.5 oz bottle of DedeMed Seven Spice the first thing I did was open it and smell it. It smells almost like cinnamon with nutmeg. The labels says it contains Cardamom, Allspice and Nutmeg.

I perused the website for recipes to make with Seven Spice, and chose Beef Shish Kabobs – because they’re easy and something the whole family will love.  The first thing I saw were words I couldn’t pronounce, so I thought I might be getting in over my head.  But, their website makes it easy to understand. They even have instructional videos with the recipes. You could say it’s Gimmie proof!

The Shish-Kabobs were DEEEEElish!  My whole family loved them and we ate every last bit of it.  I served it with rice, but I missed the pita and hummus. I’m going to have to have that next time.

In summary, Mediterranean food is one of my favorites. I love the rich flavor of olive oil, garlic and seafood, as well as pita bread, hummus, and falafel.  Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods are considered to be very healthy.  They’re robust in flavor but have a sort of light appeal that leaves you feeling good – not stuffed.  Let’s face it, we could probably all stand to eat a bit healthier.  Or, if you already eat healthy, this is probably already on your menu.
