Gizmo wanted me to let all doggie parents know that there is a recall on two varieties of Milo’s Kitchen dog treats. She doesn’t want any of her friends to become ill.
These dog treats may possibly contain elevated levels of beef thyroid hormone. These hormones can cause increased thirst and urination, weight loss, increased heart rate and restlessness. Symptoms should resolve when the consumption of these treats is discontinued and your pet’s thyroid levels go back to normal. With prolonged consumption, these symptoms can possibly increase in severity and may include vomiting, diarrhea, and rapid or labored breathing. If these symptoms occur, it is recommended that pet owners contact their veterinarian immediately.
There have been 3 reports of illness connected to these treats.
Products that are in this current recall are:
Milo’s Kitchen Steak Grillers/Steak Grillers Recipe with Angus Steak – 22, 18 and 10 oz bags
Milo’s Kitchen Grilled Burger Bites with Sweet Potato and Bacon – 15 oz bags.
