Marathon Enterprises, Inc is recalling over 7 million pounds of Sabrett and other brands of hot dog products due to the possibility of bone fragments and cartilage in the product. Consumers did report to FDA that pieces of bone, were found within the product. There has been one reported minor oral injury associated with consumption of this product.
The beef and pork hot dog and sausage items listed in this recall, were produced on various dates between March 17, 2017 and July 4, 2017. The products subject to this recall have the establishment number “EST. 8854” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail and institutional locations nationwide.
