All Terrain WinterSport Sunscreen – Review and Giveaway
I was given a tube of All Terrain WinterSport Sunscreen lotion with SPF30 to test and review, and All Terrain also wants to give one lucky Gimmie fan their own!!
This skin care product is unique because unlike summertime sunscreen, it’s made especially for winter weather. Like to ski or snowboard? Have you ever been skiing and come home with a sunburn? It’s terrible, especially because you still have to bundle up to stay warm – and your skin hurts. So your wool sweater becomes like steel wool and you’d rather freeze than have to wear it. Not a good situation.
But something about the formula in summertime sunscreen just isn’t quite right for winter. Whether it’s that you don’t want your ski jacket to smell like the tropics, or just the consistency of the lotion, it doesn’t really work.
All Terrain WinterSport Sunscreen is water/sweat resistant. It’s heavier than summer sunscreen, and is made with stuff like cucumbers and grapefruit seeds (there are a lot of ingredients, those just stuck out to me). It actually felt a little gritty when I put it on, but that went away when I rubbed it in. And although I wouldn’t say it’s “thick,” it really covered well. I didn’t need to use as much as I thought I would. It’s not greasy, but doesn’t completely go away either. I think this would be really good for people who work or play outside in the winter. I could imagine my brother-in-law using it when he spends 3 hours playing in, er, “plowing” the snow after the recent blizzard in the Midwest, for example. 
They also sent a tube of WinterSport lip balm with SPF25. It’s petroleum free and paraben free, and it works really well to keep your lips moisturized and protected from the winter sun.

Environmentally conscious, All Terrain’s products have all natural ingredients and their packaging is made from recycled material, recyclable and/or biodegradable.

There is a direct correlation to time you spend outdoors and your health. The activity you do is important, but may not be as critical as just being outside.
I didn’t know Zinc Oxide is a skin protectant.
